Barbie Princesse du Japon est originaire de la fin du 19ème siècle.

Elle porte un kimono traditionnel parfait pour une sortie loin du palais. 

Ses longues manches de kimono (furosode) sont joliment décorées par un motif floral coloré de tons orange et rose.

Un obi vert enveloppe la taille, accentué par un cordon blanc (obijime).

Elle porte des sandales zōri.

Ses cheveux noirs, coiffés en chignon, sont ornés de trois fleurs blanches.

Elle est sortie en 2003 et fait partie de la collection Dolls of the World.

The Princess of Japan stands in the early spring sunlight. The beloved sakura, cherry blossom, is in full bloom. Today, the Princess will attend hanami, the annual blossom viewing. She is dressed in a traditionnal Japanese robe that we call a kimono today. But she dreams that one day she will marry and wear a beautiful juni-hitoe, the traditionnal 12-layered costume.
